St Mark's Episcopal Church

As an Episcopal Church, St. Mark's is a member of the world-wide Anglican Communion.   The Book of Common Prayer, which guides and informs our worship and our prayers, has been “forming” lives in Christ since it was birthed in England in the 16^th century. Subsequent editions and revisions throughout the world and the centuries have insured that our worship (or liturgy, as we often call it) is contextually relevant and life-giving.

Holy Eucharist (Holy Communion) is celebrated at all Sunday services and at the Church’s major feast days throughout the year. At celebrations of the Holy Eucharist, all those who gather pray and praise together. Several Bible passages are read aloud. We pray for the needs of the world and the church and offer each other an enthusiastic sign of peace. The service culminates with the Lord’s Supper (the sharing of bread and wine) to which all are invited and welcome. 

Sunday Worship

9:00 am- Morning Prayer
10:30 am- Sunday Eucharist

Both services are celebrated with music.
At Morning Prayer, it is possible to receive communion consecrated at an earlier service.

Feast Days and Holy Days

We celebrate the major days of the Church year, including Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, All Saints Day, and the Feast of St. Francis.

The Holy Sacraments
Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage and Burial Rites are significant celebrations and observances in the ongoing life of St. Mark's Episcopal Church.

Retreats and Seasonal Offerings
Episcopalians follow a liturgical calendar that emphasizes the particular dynamics and rhythms of Christ’s life and, by extension, Christian life. The “message” of the various seasons throughout the year is explored and experienced through retreats, focused book and bible study and prayer practices.
